DE Founder and President, David Oswald is participating in the science and technology (SBSTTA) and implementation (SBI) meetings of the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity.
DE will be sharing experience working at the regional and national level developing software platforms for integrating environmental data. This work is particularly relevant to attendees of these meetings because DE and Caribbean partner MGI are working with the government of Saint Lucia to help them report to the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity.
Two of the overarching themes of these meetings are: (a) mainstreaming biodiversity and ecosystems into decision making, and (b) realizing “transformational change” in how biodiversity and ecosystems are considered in governance.
DE brings to this discussion eighteen years of experience taking on very tough design and environmental challenges. Our team’s experience, creativity, agility, and focus on quality has resulted in a series of successes that have proven the point that the combination of design skills with deep environmental knowledge can produce excellent results.
As humanity is confronted with a profound need to decouple environmental degradation from economic activity and safeguard the global environment, the DE team is stepping up to bat to rally individuals and organizations to rise to the challenge of this generation.
