Telus World of Science Calgary New Science Centre 2011 Project

The DE team was awarded a lead design position through an international competition. Our team
was amongst one of a select number of distinguished companies chosen to help shape the future
of the new TELUS World of Science — Calgary. Our team was involved from early conceptual work
for the Being Human and Earth & Sky galleries and overall environmental graphic design. This
involved being on-site for creative design sessions and for exhibit piloting work during which
sample concepts were conceived and then tested with mock-up exhibits and science centre visitors.
Concept drawings as well as full fabrication drawings were created by our team. DE was asked to
lead the content development for the Earth & Sky gallery as well as to direct the graphic production
for three galleries in addition to previously mentioned work.

This capital project is funded by the municipal government of Calgary, the Province of Alberta,
the Federal Government of Canada and through private and corporate donations. It is a landmark
project and DE feels honoured to have contributed to it.
