Project management of the creation of an immersive virtual re-creation of a city within which an environmental mystery transpired. This product was directed at learners of English as a second language.

The Learning Engine was conceived as a multimedia experience that could immerse users into a virtual world with interesting characters, rich visual experiences, and an intriguing environmental mystery. The user engages in a number of language exercises that involve conversing with virtual characters, doing journal entries, an solving grammatical problems. The concept for this project emerged through collaboration with researchers in language learning, practicing teachers, and multimedia artists. David Oswald was project manager, editor, and content specialist. This project was done with Lunny Communications Group, the project lead contractors.
